The ShadTail is designed to realistically imitate small forage and is suitable for a wide range of freshwater and saltwater applications. Its natural profile and subtle action make it an effective option for targeting species such as Bass, Perch and Trout, as well as a variety of saltwater predators.

An internal expansion chamber is incorporated into the body to assist with secure hook placement and reliable hooksets, particularly when fishing at longer distances.

The ShadTail is designed primarily for use with a weighted-shank wide-gap hook, but its versatile design allows it to be rigged in a number of different ways, including:

• Jigheads
• Cheburashka rigs
• Spinnerbait and chatterbait trailers
• Texas rigs
• Jika rigs
• Weighted and unweighted presentations

When rigged correctly and perfectly in line, the ShadTail can maintain its balance even when fished unweighted. This opens up the option for extremely slow presentations, particularly when paired with suitable Titan Diver hooks.

The lure can also be weighted more heavily, either through the hook shank or with a jighead. Additional weight can produce a more pronounced action on the fall, making it particularly useful when targeting suspended, inactive or pressured fish.

Softbait Compound

The ShadTail is manufactured using a specially developed soft plastic compound designed to balance softness, stretch and durability. The material provides a natural feel while remaining robust enough for repeated use and multiple fish.

The compound is also designed to retain its shape during storage and minimise unwanted reactions with other lures or tackle trays.

Hand-Applied Finish

Each (REAL) ShadTail is individually airbrushed by hand using custom colour blends developed specifically for the material. The resulting finish combines realistic, iridescent and pearlescent tones to create a natural appearance that changes subtly with light and underwater movement.

The colours are designed to flex with the soft plastic rather than simply sitting on the surface, helping the finish remain intact through repeated use.

As each lure is individually handcrafted, minor variations in colour, pattern and finish may occur. These are a natural part of the artisanal production process and give each ShadTail its own individual character.

Each lure is presented in a custom-designed thermoformed blister pack, reflecting the attention to detail applied throughout the product. The blister is not required for long-term storage, with the lure also able to be stored safely in a suitable Plano-style tackle box while retaining its shape.
